Hi hi!

Hi hi!

My name’s Kev, and this is my webcomic! I’m an ‘incoming L1′ medical student, which means that I’m just starting school. I’m excited and nervous about beginning medical studies in about two weeks! I hope this webcomic/blog can be a place where I can share some of my experiences as I go through med school, and I hope it’ll be useful to my classmates and for those interested in medical school. I intend to post once a week, though that may all go out the window when classes start! (^_-) We’ll see!

So here we go!

Almoooost!

Tuesday, August 5th, 2008

Well, it’s almost time to start school! Orientation is just one day away, and I’m equal parts nerves and excitement about it! I know med school is going to be one of the most challenging things I’ve ever undertaken. Lately, I’ve found that I’ve been wearing my med school tshirt a LOT… I think it’s sort of become a security blanket for me! (^_-) I’ve just got to stay cheerful and open to change, and I think I’ll do fine, though!

Warming up

Friday, August 15th, 2008

Wow! Med school is as amazing and as overwhelming as you could possibly imagine! The volume of material we have to learn (even only two days into classes) is insane, but I’ve never been more excited and motivated about studying. Even sitting through 3-hour long marathon lectures has been fun! Gross Anatomy lab is equal parts frustration and awe, and I just hope I can master all these amazing structures in time for the test. My classmates have been incredibly helpful and friendly… really frighteningly brilliant people! (^_^)

Next comic Tuesday, I think!

It definitely says something about how busy medical school keeps you, when the only time you can find to finish your next webcomic is when school’s cancelled because a huge hurricane is heading right for your city. I hope to evacuate sometime later today. Keep New Orleans in your thoughts guys!

Crunch Time

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

This past week of med school has been alternately difficult and amazing. We dissected the forearm and hand over the past few days, which contains some pretty complex anatomy. I’ve got exams almost exactly 2 weeks from now, so it’s definitely crunch time for me. I’m going to try and get another comic out before then, but if I don’t that’s why! Ok, off to study the brachial plexus now! (^_^)b

Squeaking by…

Sunday, November 9th, 2008

Heya guys!

Long time, no see, huh?! Well, basically school is REALLY INCREDIBLY HARD. Yep, it’s tough… I kinda have to study all the time to just squeak by. That’s ok, though… It really is a ton of fun! Anyway, I’ve just started a new section in my courses, so I’m taking it as a moment to recommit to this cartoon. My plan is to get on a once a week schedule… so we’ll see! Buttons comming soon for peeps that are interested… they’ll be totally free, of course. More on that soon!
